Step 1: Share Your Interest

Your journey starts when you reach out to schedule an initial design consultation. Whether you’re ready to start right away or just exploring ideas, we’re here to learn about your goals and guide you through what’s next.

Step 2: Schedule Design Consultation

You’ll connect with our scheduling team who will learn about your vision, timeline, and needs. They’ll walk you through what to expect, answer your questions, and help schedule your design consultation. The design consultation is a 30-60 minute home visit with one of our experienced design consultants to explore your ideas in detail and assess your space.

Step 3: In-Home Design consultation

We visit your home to take measurements, review your existing deck or build area, and discuss your preferences. We’ll share inspiration, walk you through material options, and leave behind a brochure with helpful details about the process and possibilities.

Step 4: Receive Design and Proposal

Within a week, you’ll receive a clear, custom proposal with the design and itemized pricing. This includes layout, materials, and design features; everything you need to visualize and evaluate the project and get the clarity you need to move forward.

Step 5: Finalize Your Design & Sign

Have questions? Want to explore alternatives? We’ll guide you through product choices, layout adjustments, and finish selections to ensure the final design reflects your lifestyle, your home, and your goals. When you’re ready, you’ll sign the project contract and complete the design selection checklist.

Step 6: Schedule Your Build

Once your contract is signed, we’ll coordinate your build with our Operations Manager. Deck projects typically take 7–10 business days, while porch project builds average 4–6 weeks. We’ll confirm the build timing expectations and communicate clearly from day one.

Step 7: Project Kickoff

You’ll meet your dedicated Project Manager and receive a clear checklist of what to expect. We’ll handle all permitting and prep the job prioritizing a clean job site and your home managed with care and respect. Your Project Manager will be your main point of contact throughout the build process ready to answer any and all questions or concerns.

Step 8: Thoughtful Build Execution

This is where your project comes to life. We build with precision and intentionality, from the ground up.

• Footings: We industry-best helical piers that carry a 10-year warranty against frost heave and two additional footing options as needed. A solid foundation means a longer-lasting deck.

• Decking: As Platinum-certified TimberTech, Azek, and Trex installers, we install only proven, durable materials we know and trust. With over 20 years of experience with composite products, we know how to get it right for both beauty and long-term performance.

• Details Matter: Our custom-designed post wraps, decking borders, and moisture-management systems are built not just to look good, but to protect and perform for decades. Every cut, cap, and joint is intentional.

• Framing: The framing process begins with the highest quality materials such as KDAT lumber or engineered beams for the strongest results. Our approach includes precise framing techniques for long-term durability and weather resistance so you can enjoy your deck for years.

Step 9: Ongoing Communication

You’ll get updates from your Project Manager daily. You’ll always know what’s happening, who’s on-site, and how things are progressing. You won’t need to chase down answers.

Step 10: Final Inspection

Once the build is complete, we’ll coordinate and pass the final city inspection. You don’t have to worry about paperwork or follow-up, we take care of it all.

Step 11: Final Walkthrough & Sign-Off

We wrap up your deck or porch build with a walkthrough to ensure every detail meets your expectations. We don’t consider the job done until you’re fully satisfied.
